GREEN Bug Planted

Our fourth and final travel bug is planted! We planted it shortly after taking a nice frigid dip in a nearby fall (that's me in the pic). We also found an impossibly small geocache on this trip, and amazed the family we brought along with us, who should be picking up geocaching soon. We can't wait to get videos. So if you have a bug, send us a little something. We're so excited.

RED bug planted

Our red bug is on its way, and we finished a nice cool fourth of July in San Francisco with the long-time friends we took on the adventure with us. We had two 4-year-olds who did some impressive hiking. Only one more bug to place.

BLUE bug planted

We thought it would be appropriate to plant our red and blue bugs on the Fourth of July. You may be able to guess where the blue bug started its journey.

YELLOW bug planted

Here's a little clue of where our yellow bug will begin its adventure. We brought my husband's family and several cousins along on our finds.

And we're off

We have a little idea for a film project to start this July. A sort of collaborative project. We wondered, if we planted a few travel bugs here in Cali, where would they go and who would they go with? So we've decided to act on our curiosity. We'll be planting four travel bugs and tracking their progress. And we're hoping to collect videos from the good people of geochaching who come across them. So if you find one of our bugs, won't you play along? Consider this your formal invitation. With a little luck, we'll have a nice documentary film once the bugs have done a little sight seeing.

Here is the tag you'll find, should you come across one of our bugs.

Making the bugs

We have a little project in mind. We won't give you all the details now, but here is is a hint.
